Elgrand 51 series 2.5 and 3.5 for LPG

#1 Post by david_1972 » Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:51 pm

Hi all,

Lost my login details so have re-registered

Anyway, my question is this - is there any difference in suitability of LPG converting the 2.5v6 compared to the 3.5v6 Elgrand please?

Thank you

David

Hi David

Simon (LPGC) on here is bound to have some input on the Elgrand, as he has a couple of them and is an installer as well.

On the lost login, if you goto the login page there should be a forgotton password link - or use this link
ucp.php?mode=sendpassword

If you can remember your email address, then that should allow you to reset the password. If you can't remember your email address but can remember the username, post a message here and we will see if it can be sorted out (provided you still have access to whatever email address it was registered to this should be fairly simple).

Thanks Brian. I tried both of my email addresses and they didn't seem to be recognised. My old username was david1972.

It's not a problem, but thank you for offering to assist.

I've sent you a pm under that account so hopefully you will get an email notification for it. That may help!

Like Brian said, I've converted a lot of Elgrands to LPG and I run 2 Elgrands myself.

The 2.5 and 3.5 in the E51 and the older 3.3 in the E50 are all equally well suited to running on LPG. Of course injector nozzle size, pressure and calibration settings are different for the different sized engines.
