I have accuired a bulk tank and filling station it's about 20 years old according to the stampings on the tank I spoke to flogas and they have said it needs testing by a gas safe engineer for its 20 year test but we're very vague can anyone shed a bit more light on the subject
Thanks Tom

Not done it personally, but you really need to insist with your supplier to specify exactly what they require before spending anything on it. Ideally in writing of some form.

Re: Lpg bulk tank filling station
It would be worth speaking to Naz at Birmingham Autogas, 0121 326 7171. They supply bulk tanks, bottles and bulk LPG, as well as vehicle conversions. He is sorting out a bulk tank for me with a new certificate, so may be able to help. There is also Gurch at LPG cars in Coventry, 024 7646 1199 he supplies home filling stations and has a local company to him that re-certificates tanks I believe. Might be worth a call

Thanks I will I still have it sitting on the trailer so I can take it to get tested if nessasary currently just giving it a coat of paint and checking everything works it has a smith pump on it with a 1kw motor
Re: Lpg bulk tank filling station
You might well find Birmingham Autogas cheaper than flogas as well, if they can supply to wherever you are. They are certainly cheaper for bottles than Flogas or Calor

hi tom
i'm near Chesham as well, there is a test firm in southampton and they can do mobile I think, they have to hydraulic test, fill with water and pressurize, are you going to retail as Shell have just shut all sites localy no lpg to be found until Watford.

I was not planning to retail lpg it was going to be for my own vehicles mainly because, as you say there is no lpg locally do you know what the testing company is called
