Additional LPG Tank

#1 Post by Yank Boy » Mon Dec 28, 2015 10:21 pm

Hi All
I have a Chevy Suburban with an underslung tank I'd like to increase the range by fitting an additional tank. The spare wheel is vertically mounted in the back of the car, can I fit a circular tank in the vertical position rather than the horizontal where the spare wheel currently lives.

You can but you need the special vertical tank and valve to do it

Not at all rare, but they are a fair bit more expensive than horizontal tanks. Have a look on the normal LPG supplier places, such as Tinley Tech. You'll need to know the actual size of the spare wheel holder (ie including the tyre - not just the wheel). I'd guess something like 630mm diameter by 240mm wide?
