are "performance" ignition coils worthwhile?

The revhead speedshops sell aftermarket performance DFI coils. They are intended for supercharged engines, or those with increased compression ratio, where a higher voltage is needed.
I wonder if these will help for LPG.

Shouldn't do any harm, but a working one should be adequate. Of course it helps to get an idea of the vehicle, one that originally used a distributor originally rather than coil packs the improvement may be much more noticeable. Selecting the right plugs (decent branded single electrode ones, either standard copper or iridium) more likely to help if your having problems.
