Re: 2004 VAUXHALL COMBO 1.6 LPG ISSUES

Call Blaze Autogas in Wiltshire, I don't know how busy they are, regular poster Rossko works for them, ask them to service it as well.

It sounds like it is the solenoid valve in the engine bay is stuck closed.

Re: Astra Z16XE occasionally cuts out when switching to LPG?

Definitely no smell of gas? Just wondering if one of the connections isn't fully leak free and when stood overnight the gas is seeping out, of course then on first switch over there is not enough gas for the system to deem acceptable and flicks back to petrol. Check for leaks of gas into the vacuum...

Re: vauxhall combo V reg Koltec Necam reducer

Is there a reason why you don't want to repair the vaporiser or replace with an identical unit?

I'm sure there will still be engineers that have rebuilt vaporisers on shelves.

Re: dual fuel lpg problem

No idea.
It should be flashing as it warms up.
Switch wiring, ECU? Solenoid stuck or failed?
I guess it doesn't flash you fault codes either?

Re: no click

If one of the valves is stuck I think it will only be coincidental however it is a common fault with the age of these units, usually the one by the vaporiser.

Re: no click

Have you checked the level of your engine coolant? It might possibly be the temperature sensor otherwise. The vaporiser should get hot when the engine is up to temperature. If you check for links in the signature on replies to posts about Vauxhall LPG problems I'm sure you will find someone reasona...

Re: vauxhall combo z14xep lpg problems

Some people who have been here for their system repaired have first paid for a new ECU on other installers advice and that hasn't changed the problem! That is because they have no idea how the system works, usually they simply recommend the system is ripped out and a new front end installed, it cer...

Re: vauxhall combo z14xep lpg problems

It looks like the LPG system is seeing a mixture issue, code 43 is a new code that I have seen for the GSI system, on the old EGI system it meant that there could be an issue with the DFCO membrane in the distributor but you haven't got one of those so I don't know but most likely a mixture issue m...

Re: Astra 2001 Koltec GSI - Running on 3

Most Vauxhall systems in the UK didn't have a pressure sensor fitted.

You could try Autogas2000

Depends on where you are in the country, you could try Edward of mobile automotives and LPG

Re: Astra 2001 Koltec GSI - Running on 3

Eeeuurghh, code 32. Mmmm. The official description is: Petrol injector off short to ground or open. This would normally appear if the vehicle has run out of LPG or the LPG ECU has seen a concern and it has changed it back to petrol. i.e incorrect fuelling. However, also read the following descripti...

If you take a look in your messages here on the forum there is a document I sent you yesterday that tells you how to read the LPG ECU codes.

The software and dongle etc. is not available.

Re: vauxhall combo z14xep lpg problems

That's one hell of a remote diagnostic ability your guy has got there. The CCf I suppose would be the crankcase signal amplifier, CCF is part of its code. You may or may not have one of these. Once you figure out which system you have then I can forward you a fault code instruction sheet. If it's a...

I concur.

There is a DFCO valve on the bottom of the distributor that can fail preventing any LPG through too.

PM sent.

Just for interest, how many miles has this got on the clock. It's not uncommon for Combo vans to have traveled to the moon and back with their LPG system still running.

Re: Need help with Vauxhall Combo and Koltec system for a fr

I'll send you the EGI fault log sheet by PM. You need to check for airlocks in the coolant pipework to the vaporiser then, if the vaporiser is higher than the pipework then this is a possibility. Test the solenoids on the solenoid valves for open or short circuit. One just before the vaporiser, thi...

Re: Need help with Vauxhall Combo and Koltec system for a fr

It sounds like a fuel restriction.

Confirm whether EGI or GSI from the images below.

Has any work been done on the coolant and have levels been checked. I'll take a punt and say the vaporiser needs cleaning out and re-building but just a guess at this point.

Re: Astra 2001 Koltec GSI - Running on 3

You also say you replaced the filter, if it is the type with the removable paper insert then they have been known to collapse and block the filter completely. Check for gas going out. p0202 is an injector circuit malfunction. Reset and re-read the codes. Swap the injectors around and reset the code...
