Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

I understand I won't get into OMVL Millenium with Leo software, and I assume OMVL won't open the Leo, but just so that I know when it's right, what can I expect to see if I attempt either?

Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

Thanks, yes I confirm: 1) Leo Splash screen >> Langauge choice. 2) Select language 3) Words to the effect of 'Checking ECU' 4) Words to the effect of 'ECU connection - nothing found' 5) Press 'OK' 6) Quits. Win10 has 'Device manager' Port selection - seems like I remember it. I've kept to Port 1 or ...

Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

You reckon W10 can be done, thanks. Changeover, not quite... Finding known quantities out of my used tat first. I'll have you know there's nothing half-%^£d about me or any of this, dear god no? I've lashed-up a 12V motorcycle batt. on the living-room carpet, in the warm with one of these... USB LPG...

Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

Ah, Thanks. Now I have a FTDI chipset, that's what the CCY is. FTDI driver appears to load OK> Can't do WinXP unfortunately. I have power to perm & ignition. Port allocation, I can't get into Leo/Millennium SW to see what the allocation needs to be, or find it by searching t'internet. Could be, I've...

Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

Here i sit with an assorted pile of eBay ECU. 1 x OMVL Millenium and 2 x AEB Leonardo. It was kinda' expected, can I get my CCY 'USB Professional Interface ' data link to work? Can I f... Tried Ports 1-4, seems to load the driver automatically, as soon as the lead is inserted, which is reassuring. W...

Re: Chinese kits?

Sounds very much like the kind of folk over here who are happy to lease a car as it means they don't get any maintaince costs, but can end up paying nearly the full price of the car to end up not owning it after 3 years. Yes you do wonder, agreed not all of us are handy, and if you CAN afford this,...

Re: What pressure should a Single point vapouriser/reducer be set to?

Yes I'd read about cooling, yet i've not found a definitive answer to that question. I think I said Tinley Tech were sending me all sorts of weaker needles for BLOS, two apparently identical 'weak' needles found me with one as rich as I've seen. But they were good about this and got it sorted.

Re: What pressure should a Single point vapouriser/reducer be set to?

I had to smile. I hope so, we're in deep doo-doo if it's not. I'm not sure it'd even run on 14.7. It so happens I now have the gauge displaying Lambda. Lambda 1.0 is Lambda 1.0 is Lambda 1.0 no matter what the fuel type, and in the odd moment I run petrol, it means the scale stays put. The sensor is...

Re: What pressure should a Single point vapouriser/reducer be set to?

Thanks for the pat on the back RobXX, however I can't see it's truly warranted quite yet. As my post the solution works in this set-up, more by luck than judgement. It shouldn't require two of any mixer, BLOS or otherwise, and LPGC is absolutely correct, it's not elegant. Just better than it was. It...

Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

Ah... hadn't thought of that. Minded to any kind of WB in a 60s Land rover, likely being regarded as the act of a Madman, a 'new-fangled' Leonardo.. in one of these anyway, has to be a first? I've just realised a Lovato Loveco is an AEB Galileo, or a LOVECO 4EU PLUS is, i think?

Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

Yes as near to the collector as possible is my understanding, which caught me off-guard. Did as I was told... see piccy. I think I said, plan is to grab a loom, with a used O2 from local scrappy. Will find one with a heap of harness, thus should see plugs too, and solder a tad more on where it goes ...

Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

Thanks, I might be over-egging it when I say 12 foot, but it'd still be 9-10 foot. 2 x Current boss sit next-door to the gearbox-end/propshaft UJ because the Innovate Wideband blurb suggested WB should be planted 24 inches downstream of zhorst collector. Which seemed odd, but that's what it says. I ...

Re: What pressure should a Single point vapouriser/reducer be set to?

OK, I've had a play and as suggestions...: a) Try running with SU piston removed Thought about doing this first, but even if it works, I'm not sure it gets me anywhere or tell me much - I need the piston in place, whereas... b) 1 x BLOS - choking off inlet Baked-bean tin.... this helped a lot. It pr...

Re: Setting up a Stag L Plus

Yes, I'd be lucky to find the plunger-travel in th same range etc etc. running before I can walk I think. Wiring an O2. I've now resolved the mixers issue I had in the other thread. A Leo needs Lambda, in this case I'm set to install one. Without an ECU, is it really going to be as simple as finding...

Re: Disappearing LPG pumps...

Not exactly my specialist subject however I believe you retest welding cylinders, but CNG cylinders are not something you'd usually pressure-test. They're scrap at expiry. I wrote that my solution is unsuitable for 90% of you - that's probably incorrect. With respect to what's involved in all practi...

Re: Disappearing LPG pumps...

Of course, I am pulling your proverbial, for 90% of users, LPG is the way to go. My solution works because I have a particular mileage pattern, and the inclination to do it. More because I can, as anything. A hydraulics/pnuematics development-engineer background might help. Definitely a left-field a...

Re: Disappearing LPG pumps...

Minded to the fact that Mister LPGC, Sir, conversion side of things you've likely forgotten more than I know, your fascination with LPG over something shoved to your door borders on masochism? Is this a kink of yours? Say it is? It is, isn't it? :) I've two R89 now, got them form Aussie of all place...

Re: Disappearing LPG pumps...

This soon becomes an extremely convoluted subject which would take hours to explain. It would simply provide a laundry-list of obstacles for those too idle to do this anyway. 'Big corporate' does it now. It's simply that here in the UK we don't - there's nothing underhand to any of it. The informati...
