Re: 1 bank running lean

I've never heard of Fagumit or thunderflex. Parker I have heard of. Though being lpgshop they might just send something different anyway! Any should be ok really as long as its marked for LPG use though. Simon might have some input there, you may as well hold on till later on just in case he has any...

Re: 1 bank running lean

Needs to be lpg specific, and the right size/diameter. You might be able to identify the current size by the markings on it if your lucky, if not then either measure the size, or look up what spec the injectors you have use (Can't see the injectors mentioned in the thread to tell) and then buy the s...

Re: AEB injector timings/calibration

You might be able to get some indication on that by switching between fuels as you'd do above to prove injector routing, then watching fuel trims, once you've proved the injector routing to be correct.

Re: AEB injector timings/calibration

You would probabbly find it more reliable with both sides linked together, meaning the overall pressure on both sides is the same. The gas ecu will compensate for pressure, not so sure how well that would work with two seperate lots of plumbing, only one of which it can measure. only needs one reduc...

Re: 1 bank running lean

Fair enough, looks like its a case of wait for the cable to arrive and make some use of it then now. Least you've found and fixed a leak, some clips do seem to loosen over time so its worth having a check when your doing filters etc of any others on the gas line from the vapouriser.

Re: 1 bank running lean

Sorry, should have been clearer, your not looking for leaks from the pipework into the atmosphere, your looking for gas leaking from the vapouriser down the pipe into the manifold (delivering unmetered gas directly into the manifold)

Re: 1 bank running lean

The map sensor will read the manifold pressure. The line to the reducer alters the diapgram in the reducer to compensate for the level of vacuum in the manifold. There will be a pressure sensor for the gas as well, this may be part of the same unit. I don't know the EMER hardware to confirm what tha...

Re: AEB injector timings/calibration

Also on the Thor engine, if you have gone into the top half of the manifold, then the middle cylinders (I think?) are fed by the inlet tract on the opposite side of the engine. This could easily account for swapped plumbing as mentioned above (and in the previous post). This isn't obvious until you ...

Re: 1 bank running lean

A simple test you could also try whilst your waiting for the cable, is to remove the gas outlets from the injectors and check you aren't finding one leak when it shouldn't do (there should be pressure in the system once its tried to switch over so any leak should be evident). Its not a conclusive te...

Re: 1 bank running lean

Before you run auto calibration try to save the current config. Auto calibration unlikely to fix it really, but you might want to try swapping cylinders between fuels in the software. Just in case you have an injector not working how it should do. Also check you don't have a kinked or blocked hose t...

Re: Series Land Rover

Most likely place to start looking is the positioning or type of mixer. Photos might help there. Simon has posted before about them being too close to the carb and altering airflow through it. Easy test to prove condition of carb would be to remove the mixer temporarily. Of course a worn out carb or...

Re: Is MFG is a MFinG filling station network?

Well the combination of parking restrictions of 20 minutes, and installing rapid chargers seems a bit at odds with each other, but that typically seems to be what they are doing over their various locations.

Re: Is MFG is a MFinG filling station network?

It seems that MFG are starting to pull pumps out of stations, hardly surprising given they are currently 11p a litre more expensive than the Shell one a couple of miles away from them here. I've seen a few stations deleted off filllpg which are their ones.

Re: random problems

The older way of checking calibration was to check lambda readings, though thats more suited to single point systems and metering head type systems. You would be better to monitor the fuel trims through the obd port and try to get them to match on both fuel types under the same conditions. Do you ha...

Re: Best way to empty my Stako toroidal into the BBQ

I'd give it a go with the tank upside down so your pulling through vapour, and see what sort of pressure you can wind the vapouriser down to. If your drawing vapour off, you shouldn't have too much of an issue with it freezing up anyway so should be able to do away with the need to plumb it into any...

Re: Accurate filling station map

www.filllpg.co.uk is most accurate, but website has issues. See on here if you want to use the android app for it. Https://autogas.app is mostly accurate and is mobile friendly. www.mylpg.eu probabbly better if your outside the uk, though it covers the UK it seems to have some errors. Again has an a...

Might be worth trying to drain it again, looks like a fair bit came out there. Might also be worth a change of filters if you still think its got more to give, though 1.6 bar would seem much closer to what was wanted than you were before.

Re: Pending fault codes P1171 and P1174, tuning advice needed please

Not sure its going to help you much, given its an entirely different ecu (KME Nevo), reducer (Romano I think from memory) and injectors (OMVL SL) being used, but might give you some idea (at least its the same vehicle!)

Re: Pending fault codes P1171 and P1174, tuning advice needed please

It's kme Nevo I'm using, calibrated by Simon. Think it depends on the injectors your using if you can get away without nozzles, some are well matched in that state, others not so much. I'll have a look and see what I can see from the software tomorrow as far as the map goes.
