Re: Astra 2002 Koltec GSI not switching to LPG

If it is a diode then the colour codes you have said and their position makes it a 1N310 The equivalent of a 1N310 is, yes you guessed it, a 1N4148 (Taken from two sources, heres one) http://www.fotorele.net/pdf/diody_stabilitrony_import.pdf Personally I would replace all of those with 1N4148 and th...

You have checked for codes on your petrol ECU? You can use the pedal method if not.

Re: Astra Estate LPG 1.6 2003 problem locating diagnostic po

The last one I bought was from Autogas about 4 years ago. No harm in asking at Vauxhall although it is called something different. Part No. 93182211. It's called the Amplifier Case Signal by Vauxhall. Possibly CCF002. I believe the 58x module was integrated into the ECU on later models. You may need...

Re: Astra Estate LPG 1.6 2003 problem locating diagnostic po

If its not changing over and it's not the temperature sensor and no codes are stored then it is likely to be the 58x module.

Re: astra g not switching to lpg

Another thing, when a car breaks down people lift the bonnet and pull and tug on wiring and connections. Unplug the LPG ECU and plug it back in. It may have drifted apart just that little bit.

Re: astra g not switching to lpg

Here is a circuit diagram that might help some. It isn't absolutely accurate, certainly the colours are all wrong but it will give you some idea. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.joyce ... iagram.jpg

Re: astra g not switching to lpg

Sorry, if it's flashing just once, I would start by testing the relays in the box where the LPG fuses are. Check the coil resistance. Switches have been known to go faulty.

They are not all the same but you could try swapping around those relays that are.

Re: astra g not switching to lpg

Hey broket, Check the solenoids, especially the front one for cracked plastic around the coil. Test each of the solenoids impedance (Resistance) with your multimeter and let us know what they are reading. If the switch is constantly flashing twice per second and doesn't change to a fast flash it is ...

Re: Astra 1.6 16v runs on lpg cold, but knocks off when warm

Have you checked for codes on your petrol ECU? If it's flashing slowly at first then fast after a warm up period then you have a fault, these are usually logged but 58x module faults are sometimes not logged. If it continues a slow flash and never changes over then the temp sensor in the vap. is fau...

Re: Combo gsi running fault

I can only tell you what happened. With the 58x module removed the EML remains lit. Possibly not water, more likely poor connection and I have lost count of the number of times I have seen water ingress on potted compound components. However, when I broke apart the knackered 58x module there was no ...

Re: Combo gsi running fault

Erm, yes I think it did in my case. Can't remember for sure. It started effecting the petrol running, infact the car wouldn't run at all until I disconnected the 58x when it failed completely. I'm pretty sure I had the engine management light on when the fault was serious enough and causing poor run...

This fault is exactly the symptoms I had with a failing 58x module. Eventually it failed altogether.

It sounds more like a cam or crank sensor issue or maybe 58x module.
The code read should help.

At only 70% efficiency they still have a long way to go but as an alternative to fossil fuels it is an encouraging start.

Re: 2003 Vauxhall dual fuel Corsa millbrook

A common failure is the coil on the valve at the reducer, sometimes this valve can gum up. Check for 12V at the solenoid coil when the solenoid should activate.
