Re: The Temptress

Landi is different, as is LovEco (horrible beast, had one on my RR Classic originally). AEB 175 can be, AEB Leonardo, OMVL Millennium, Bigas Pegaso, Romano 175 or Zavoli Regal. There is a Landi version but I've no idea what software you need for that. If you get the download box it is connecting so ...

Re: The Temptress

Laptop with a proper serial port should work perfectly. The Leo needs to be powered (ignition on or engine running) to connect to it but you'll know when you're connected as the first thing you'll see is a pop up box saying ECU Download In Progress.

Re: The Temptress

Com 8 definitely won't work, it needs to be lower than 4, preferably Com 1 as Brian says. USB to serial adapters using the FTDI chipset usually work, those using the Prolific chipset very rarely do. Just because the label says Leonardo, it could equally have OMVL Millenium, Bigas Regal or a number o...

Re: Have any LPG stations been restocked.

well for LPG it is, they had no regular diesel left though today! That's a bonus isn't it? The less oil burners on the road the better as far as I'm concerned. But another question, why is it always the diesel drivers that seem to spray it all over the forecourt so it gets on your shoes and makes t...

Re: Have any LPG stations been restocked.

A few of the Morrisons that were out of supplies are now back online. I filled up yesterday in Wellingborough and that was out last week so supplies must be getting out slowly.

Re: The Temptress

But if using a Leo you can set a fixed actuator opening above certain revs or TPS signal. So you should be able to set it rich when under boost.

Depending on what BRC system you have, chances are this https://tinleytech.co.uk/shop/lpg-parts ... g-systems/ will do the job.

Re: Diesel lpg problem

I know nothing about the system you've got but it does all sound to me like a dodgy connection somewhere. If you have a bit of resistance in a power feed it will warm up as current flows. As it gets hotter the resistance rises until whatever it is powering doesn't see enough voltage to work.

This pic is a diagram for a simple interface assuming you have a proper serial port of a decent quality USB to Serial adapter. https://i.imgur.com/TwBuZDV.jpg The pictures show the pin connections used by different manufacturers. The standard AEB175 is bottom left, marked Leonardo, etc. The only men...

Re: New LPG filling stations app.

The problem I suspect is when someone goes to a station and they are out of gas, rather than reporting it as temporarily out, they assume it has stopped doing it so delete it. I went to fill up earlier today and found Flogas are out but a Flogas supplied filling station a couple of miles away still ...

Re: The Temptress

Sounds about right I suppose. Thinking about it, in 11 years and 215,000 miles, I've probably driven less than 1,000 miles on petrol. Spent around £42,000 on LPG though......

Re: The Temptress

I also don't bother with mpg but work on miles per tank. Cost per mile is another way of doing it but when LPG can cost anywhere between 55 and 80ppl it depends entirely on where you fill up. Depending on the type of driving (town versus long run), country I'm in (less hold ups and traffic jams in E...

Re: consumption question.

Yes, the long term trims are learnt over a period. If the short term trims are always going one way or the other, i.e. if running rich they will always go negative to keep the mixture correct, the long terms trims will gradually go negative, giving a permanent offset, so the short terms trims stay a...

Re: consumption question.

Though maybe worth saying I have one of those C Readers and it doesn't work on JOBD Nissans, even late 2000's models I've got the C Reader VI+ that I bought when my daughter bought a 99 Jap import Toyota MRS (the imported MR2 Roadster). Worked fine on that until someone in a Volvo drove into the ba...

Re: consumption question.

You'd need the LPG software (and a laptop to run it on) to look at the LPG settings and what it is doing. The OBD reader will show you the fuel trims when running on petrol so you could then change to LPG and see how they change. That will give you a clue as to what is wrong but not how to do anythi...

Re: consumption question.

A 98 Subaru should be OBD compliant. Although it didn't become mandatory in EU until 2000, it was introduced in the US in 96. Consequently anything made in 98 and available in the US market will have OBD. It is a universal standard so any OBD reader will do virtually any car. I say virtually as cars...

Re: The Temptress

About 6 years ago I drilled and tapped my inlet manifold and put plugs in ready to fit nozzles for when I decided to 'upgrade' it to a multipoint but never have. I've even got a complete, working, multipoint system taken off another Range Rover but why would I want to? The Leo connects to an additio...
