Re: adding a second tank - easy?

You might have problems trying to use a tank for both running and to supply a cooker. To run you need a liquid take off but the cooker will need a vapour take off. You wouldn't need a switch to select which tank (although there's nothing to stop you from doing it, the old Jag XJ12 had dual petrol ta...

Re: OMVL system tuning full group.

Not surprised it's not able to cope at full load. Your multipliers, the difference between petrol and gas pulse length need to be between 1.2 and 1.5x. In other words for a petrol injector time of 2mS you gas pulse needs to be between 2.4 and 3mS, at full load with petrol at 8mS, it wants to be 9.6-...

Re: Pipe sizes.

My first question is, is that plug 'n' play with my Millenium AEB175 system, ie will the ECU plug straight into my existing connectors and loom? A very good question and not one I'd thought about. I bought two of the clearance ones as they both come with a stepper and the whole kit is cheaper that ...

Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, Saab (but a proper one not a rebadged Vauxhall/Opel), all take to LPG well.

Re: Running on petrol

It may be set up to inject some petrol under acceleration or at higher revs or, it could be that the gauge is being driven by the trip computer. Is it actually using petrol or is the gauge dropping showing you it is using it? On some cars the gauge doesn't read from the float in the tank. It will ta...

Re: Stefanelli gas system

I'm running a singlepoint with Lambda control and get anywhere between 13 and 16mpg depending on whether it's running around town or on a long Continental run. That's on a 4.0 litre GEMS P38.

Re: Stefanelli gas system

What year Disco? Disco 1 with the 14CUX equipped motor (the one with a distributor) or the later Disco 2 with the Thor motor with Bosch Motronic? The 14CUX petrol injectors are batch fired anyway so it would be correct, the later Bosch is fully sequential.

Re: Honda Cr-v project

Looks like you are doing a nice job and I've only got a couple of comments. You might want to consider some sort of grommet where the polypipe enters the alloy tube so it can't be chaffed on the inside edges of the tube. The other point regards getting it inspected and certified if you need to. CoP1...

Re: Bad gateway message for new topics?

A bit more detail in case it is relevant. I just opening this thread and it opened despite having the red marker next to it. Having read and replied, I can go back to the General Discussion forum and the red marker has disappeared as you would expect, but clicking on Board Index (so it reloads the p...

Re: Bad gateway message for new topics?

Also tell him that, assuming it is the same as the problem I had (as it now seems to have gone away), if he tries to read a thread with the new posts marker, he will get the 502 Error. However if he hits the Mark All Topics Read, so the red marker goes away, he will then be able to read it.

Re: Bad gateway message for new topics?

On the main page each forum (General Discussion in this case) with new posts shows an orange blob and when you go into the forum, the thread with new posts has a red marker next to it. I can go into the thread, read all the posts and when I come out the red marker is still there unless I click on Ma...

Re: Bad gateway message for new topics?

Dave, it's been doing it for me since 2020 (see https://www.lpgforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=15468) but for some reason it has stopped in the last day or so. The problem with new posts not being marked as read even though they have been read, I was told was a Firefox (under Windows 10) problem. The sa...

Re: Jeep Cherokee 3.7 intermittent issues

I'm no expert on these but Tubbs always used to install Emer systems which are AEB. An AEB temp sensor will have orange wiring and one of your pics shows a connector with an orange and a black wire. I would suspect the temp sensor is on that wire.

For some reason it is working now and not giving the error? Although even if I have read the new posts it still shows the new post flag (although I have a feeling that has been mentioned before and is a Firefox thing?).

Re: Bad gateway message for new topics?

I get the same. Any thread with a new post in it gives me a bad gateway 502 error but if I mark them as read first, then they open. Been doing it for a while now. If I try to reply to the post as soon as I hit Submit, I get the same 502 error but if I then hit submit again, it shows my post as being...

Re: Honda Cr-v project

Looks good to me, multivalve at the back so there's no danger of slurping vapour when you boot it and the tank is getting low. Don't complain about a tank being too big, the extra range will be a bonus. Don't forget that Honda engines need a flashlube system fitting or you'll burn out your valves an...

Re: Sport 4.2 supercharged stalling issue

It certainly does sound like a mapping issue, or something to do with the petrol return, but others far more knowledgeable than me will be along soon. The supercharged uses the later Jag engine so has soft valve seats so does need flashlube but even with that, if it is run lean, will cause VSR. Comp...

Re: UK LPG shortage?

I thought they were more diesel focused due to German car brands investing heavily on diesel technology. They produced what the public had been told by Governments what they should have. Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas so is not a good thing, a diesel engine produces less CO2 than the equivalent...

Re: End of rip offs?

The way I look at it is this. On petrol my car averages 19.5 mpg, on LPG I get around 210 miles from a 63 litre fill, so that works out at 15.1 mpg. With LPG at 70ppl and petrol at £1.80ppl, my 210 miles will cost me £44.10 in LPG but would cost me £88.00, virtually double the cost. So I'm running a...

Re: UK LPG shortage?

But they are still selling them in Europe, it's only in the UK they aren't taking orders for them. Their press release says there's only 368 filling stations in the UK yet the MyLPG.eu site shows 554. Still pretty pathetic compared with France, which has removed a few in the last year or so, with 14...
