Hi All,
My first post as I have just bought my first LPG car, a Saab 9000 2.3 CSE Auto that has a Landi LSI LPG system fitted.
I have been reading the forums for the last few weeks while looking for a LPG converted car and most of my questions have been answered in one post or another but I am left with a few that I could do with some assistance with;
I live in Preston, Lancashire, can anyone recommend somewhere that could service the LPG system for me?
If I disconnect the car battery for a period of time will the Landi ECU forget its settings?
Is there anywhere that I can get some install diagrams/manuals/information for my system as I would like to understand it better.
I am a qualified engineer (aeroplanes) and do all my own servicing and repairs of my cars. I am a bit of a Saab 9000 nut (own three at present but have had about a dozen) and so if anyone has any non LPG related problems with a 9000 please give me a shout.
Cheers
Ricky

Maybe, some do most don't (unless you leave it off for weeks)ricky wrote:If I disconnect the car battery for a period of time will the Landi ECU forget its settings?
Is it a Landi or Landi Renzo as I think the two are different manufacturers, if the latter why not try http://www.landi.it/layout.jsp?idz=0&idtp=2&lang=3 . For more general info, try Simon's site ( http://www.diy-lpg.co.uk/ ). I'm not even sure if the system you have is single point or multi-point (or one of the weird half and half systems).ricky wrote:Is there anywhere that I can get some install diagrams/manuals/information for my system as I would like to understand it better.
The reason you've not had too may replies is that Landi kit is not too common so it may be that nobody has much info on it in the first place.
and my Saab isn't a real one but a GM but it's still managed 250,000 miles and is still going strong......

Re: SAAB 9000 2.3 CSE with Landi LSI system fitted
Thanks for the info.
Landi and Landi Renzo are certainly the same company now, don't know if they always have been.
My system is multi-point injection, it appears to be a Landi Renzo Omegas system, looking at the intalllation manual for this system all the parts appear to match, for some reason I have two LI 02 Vaporizer/pressure regulators fitted feeding the filter rather than the IG1 PRV Vaporizer/pressure regulator, I assume that is to acheive the correct flow rate per hour; LI 02 - 30Kg/H each (total 60Kg/H), IG1 - 40Kg/H.
As my system was fitted in 2005 it may be an earlier version of the Omegas or an earlier simlar system.
I just need to find my nearest specialist, I hope thats not Italy

Plymouth, Devon, any help

Not on your doorstep but closer than Italy.
I think they are one of the few in the UK that
still have Landi Renzo contacts.

Thanks,
it good to know there is someone with Landi contacts available although it is a bit of a hike from Lancashire.
