A few years ago i had a Vauxhall Vectra v6 with OMVL dream XXI system and it came with the lead and software which all worked very well and helped me out with the few problems i had.
After that i bought a Audi A4 3.0 quattro, also with OMVL dream XXI lpg kit. When the Vectra went i kept the lead and software just in case i got another, and luckily it did.
Unfortunately after 2 years trouble free lpg motoring the Audi stopped working yesterday so went to plug it in today and found the plugs are different

Both have 4 wires, but they are different colours? i'm hpoing i can just cut the plug off and put a matching ones on? but what goes where?
I would be careful as you might end up sending a live down the wrong wire or something, But you shouldn't have to cut the wires the seal plug comes apart and has pins inside it.
thats what im a bit worried about as the wires dont line up

but the colours dont line up.
i do think however on my white plug the centre red and black are the positive and negative respectively, and the outer two are the data wires, and on the audi with the black plug the outer red/black and black wires are the positive and negative, and the centre pink and brown are the data wires?
just guesswork though as i have no idea on this...
AEB changed over from the 8 way Molex plug with only 4 ways being used to the 4 way Supaseal plug a few years ago. Rather that chopping the plugs off, just use link wires to link between what you have and what you need to connect to. The colours on the old lead you have are obvious. The two centre pins are expecting to see 12V and ground from the LPG ECU while the two outer pins are data in and data out. Use a meter to check the new plug, ignore the colours, AEB seem to use whatever colour wire they have laying around at the time. You'll have 12V on one pin, which needs to connect to the red wire on your existing lead, you'll have ground on another pin which needs to connect to the black wire on your lead and the other two are the data lines. With them connected one way round it'll work, with them connected the other way round it won't but you won't do any damage if you get them wrong, it just won't communicate.

So the pink and brown/black are the data lines, the black is the ground and the red/black should be 12V. Did you have the ignition on when you checked?

Connect the 3 you've identified and run a wire from the red on your cable directly to the battery. The 12v only powers the RS232-TTL chip in the lead.

Yes those were the lines I was thinking too. I will give that a try and report back if I get a connection or not.
I dont think there is any power problems as such with the electrical side as my changeover button still lites up as normal and all lights do as they should, its just has a beeping alarm go off when it goes to changeover.
